Dr. Ines Braune beschäftigt sich schwerpunktmäßig mit Medien und Transformationsprozessen in der arabischen Welt. Als Bücher erschienen sind bisher „Die Journalistenverbände in Jordanien und Libanon als Teil der Zivilgesellschaft“ (Orient-Institut, 2005), „Aneignungen des Globalen. Internet-Alltag in der arabischen Welt. Fallbeispiel Marokko“ (transcript, 2008). Derzeit lehrt sie am Orientalischen Institut der Universität Leipzig.
